The Marywood University Department of Psychology/Counseling seeks an Assistant Professor of Counselor Education for a full-time, tenure track position beginning August, 2014.
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: (1) teaching graduate courses in school and mental health counseling including: Professional Ethics, Group Process, and Counseling Techniques; (2) supervising students participating in the fieldwork experience; (3) conducting research resulting in professional presentations and refereed publications; (4) advising students and serving on committees; (5) participating in discipline, departmental, university, and community service. Full-time teaching load is 21 credits for the academic year. Successful candidates should provide evidence of effective teaching.
The Department of Counseling/Psychology is in the Reap College of Education and Human Development. The Department offers a graduate counseling program with two CACREP accredited tracks: school and mental health counseling.

The position requires a doctoral degree in Counselor Education with an area of specialization in school and/or mental health counseling. Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following:
