HESA Program Coordinator

Summary of Duties
Support the Executive Director of ASEC in the development and implementation of the Higher Education for Sisters in Africa (HESA) Program. Support HESA’s development in both east and west Africa by working closely with partner institutions and assessing opportunities for growth. Communicate with ASEC educational partners and departments as directed and coordinate recruiting and admissions process. Create HESA admission materials and obtain applicant information, verifies and clarifies information and maintains all admission files in an appropriate manner. Liaisons with registrar/director of admissions in partner colleges and universities, tracks and communicates with students during the application process to assist applicants in the admission process. Works collaboratively to provide appropriate data for purposes of evaluation and reporting, and maintain integrity of student data base in order to ensure accuracy of all student records. Create and manage contacts with HESA participants. Communicate with HESA students to identify challenges in a timely manner for appropriate interventions. Develop documents that support HESA program and partnerships with ASEC consortia colleges and African University partners. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and professional publications. Ability and means to travel within Pennsylvania partner institutions as necessary. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Perform other duties as assigned.
Master’s Degree preferred in Higher Education Administration, Public Administration or related discipline.
