Samson, Dr. Shirley

Assistant Professor

Department: Psychology

Dr. Samson will be teaching two sections of Senior Seminar, Honors General Psychology and Graduate Social Psychology. 

She received her Ph.D. from the University of Kent at Canterbury, in Social Psychology, Group Processes, Intergroup Relations.  Specific interests in Uncertainty-Identity Theory, Social Identity Theory, Stereotype Content Model, entitativity (the "groupiness" characteristic of a group) and perceived entitativity and the impressions of groups and their leaders from both an intergroup and intragroup context.
