Ms. Tomasko earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in Nutrition from Marywood. While a student in the graduate program in Nutrition & Dietetics, Ms. Tomasko conducted research involving nutrition education in school-aged children. Her thesis project assessed the differences in outcomes in fruit and vegetable intake between children who received nutrition education from a registered dietitian and children who received nutrition education from a school teacher. Her other areas of research and personal interests in the field of nutrition include community nutrition, nutrition education and sports nutrition. Her interests in sports nutrition is growing as she has recently began competitively powerlifting in the United States Powerlifting Association.
