This event, sponsored by the Counseling/Student Development Center and the Relationship and Empowerment (RAE) Task Force, will focus on healthy relationships and violence prevention. The Green Dot Campaign will be used to encourage the campus community to recognize the danger signs for violence in relationships. The goal of the campaign is to engage through awareness, educational programs, and skills practice. The green dot is a symbol that reminds us we can prevent violence through intervention.
There will be free refreshments, music, speakers, a self-defense demonstration, and performances by the Marywood Players improv group. There will also be tables manned by Marywood departments and clubs with information about bystander intervention, prevention of all levels of violence, and fostering healthy relationships.
