Month of the Rosary

Catholic tradition has long held October as the month of the rosary, mainly because the liturgy for October 7 is the Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary.  Since the Middle Ages, the rosary has been a much loved devotion among Catholics.  Because it includes meditation on the important moments (mysteries) in the life and ministry of Jesus, it is a prayer that is both scriptural and contemplative.  Go to http://campus.udayton.edu/mary/questions/faq/faq07.html  to learn how to say the rosary.
