The Undergraduate degree has one proposed and three standing program options:
Digital Media and Broadcast Production (Film as Video)
Choose between the Broadcast Communication track to prepare for a career in television, film, music recording/production, or radio, and the Corporate Communication track to study non-broadcast media for a career in business, consulting, government, or public organizations media departments.
Advertising and Public Relations
Our comprehensive program will teach you strategic planning, integrated marketing and tactical execution techniques used in the advertising, public relations and special events industries.
Journalism (Electronic and Broadcast)
In this program you'll learn how to create and edit stories for television and radio news programs, social media sites, web-based publications (e.g., blogs) and for the traditional print media.
Ad Hoc Program in Communication Art
This program combines studies in the several areas of the Communication Arts and courses outside of the department to meet the unique needs of our students. If an established program does not meet a student's needs, a special program can be designed.
You select a program upon entry in the department and/or in consultation with the department Chairperson.
