Accreditation

The Master of Science program in Speech-Language Pathology at Marywood University is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard #310, Rockville, Maryland 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700.

The program was originally accredited in 2001, and was re-approved for a period of accreditation from August 1, 2006 to July 31, 2014.

Passy Muir Speaking Valves

These Tracheostomy & Ventilator Swallowing and Speaking Valveare a simple medical device used by tracheostomy and ventilator patients. When placed on the hub of the tracheostomy tube or in-line with the ventilator circuit, the Passy-Muir Valve redirects air flow through the vocal folds, mouth and nose enabling voice and improved communication.
