All full-time students under the age of 21 who do not live with their parent/guardians are required to reside on-campus during their first two years of enrollment. Full-time students over age 21, part-time students, and students who have completed their first two years of undergraduate education have access to a wide range of off-campus housing through our Housing and Residence Life department.

Speech-Language Pathology is a profession dedicated to the development and improvement of skills for individuals with communication difficulties, including aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, cognitive deficits, dysphagia, articulation, phonologic, voice, fluency, as well as other developmental speech and language deficits.

In order to become a certified speech-language pathologist, you need to have attained a Master's degree, pass the national examination in speech-language pathology, and complete a Clinical Fellowship.

Marywood CSD students come from all over the U.S. 

Once you are certified, you will be prepared and accredited to work with individuals of all ages and disorders, in private practice, institutional settings (schools, hospitals, etc.), or a combination of both. Since 2005, 100% of the graduates of the Marywood University Communication Sciences and Disorders program have been successfully employed in their field of study within one year of graduation.

Typically, 75 undergraduate students and 40 graduate students are enrolled in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department

The CSD program welcomes all qualified applicants. Our CSD student population includes traditional college students, transfer students, and non-traditional students, each adding their own presence and personalities to our social, friendly department.
