Tools of the Trade
Oral vibrators are oral motor products designed for muscle stimulation, strengthening, or desensitization. These tools can be used with individuals with autism, apraxia of speech, neurological deficits and/or stroke.
This student-run club is an active part of the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department, and is in affiliation with the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSHLA). Meetings are held monthly and the officers report back to the Student Government Association on campus. This club has participated in many departmental as well as campus-wide activities including Kidstuff, the Christmas Giving Tree Project, Holiday and Spring Parties, CSD Awareness Day, and many more. Many of the events that we participate in, or sponsor, are charitable, therefore, donations to various organizations, upon completion of the events, are given when possible. At this time the club is advised by Ms. Andrea Novak. If you are interested in becoming a member of the club please contact the advisor at firstname.lastname@example.org, or the club officers.
Four new officers were elected for the academic year 2015-2016:
Rachel Panick (Secretary), Erin Byrne (Treasurer), Taylor Patullo (President) and Taylor O'Neil (Vice-President).
