The Hunting Ground

This documentary follows several college students who have experienced sexual violence while on campus.  The screening of this film is meant to raise awareness of this issue while inspiring students by the courage of survivors and activists featured in the film.  A panel will be available after the screening for those who would like discuss issues that they have.

Facts from the film:

*16-20% of women who enroll in college are sexually assaulted while in college

*88% of women raped on campus do not report

*In 2012, 45% of colleges reported zero sexual assaults

*Only 2-8% of sexual assault claims are found to be false

*Less than 8% of men in college commit more than 90% of sexual assaults

*95% of college presidents say their institutions handle sexual assault "appropriately"

it's on usThe It's On Us National Campaign encourages everyone on campus communities across the nation to play a role in ending sexual assault.  Check out Marywood's very own It's On Us Videos!

The videos are comprised of Marywood students, faculty, staff, and administrators taking a stand against sexual assault.  The videos were coordinated by C/SDC and RAE and recorded and produced by Marywood's Communication Arts staff.
