The Once and Future King

T.H. White

Ok, seriously, who DOESN'T love the Arthurian legend? This is one of my favorite books of all time not simply because of a sick fascination with all things chain-mail, but because of the amazing romanticism and fantasy of it all. White has a way of pulling you into the story and making you feel as though this isn't fiction, but a tale of what has happened and what the future can hold, complete with talking owls and a touching friendship between the Questing Beast and his hunter. This is a story about relationships, good versus evil, and coming to terms with knights out of their usual romantic roles.
