Employment After Graduation
We have traveled the world because of our languages!
Almost 30 years after receiving the Dr. Wanda Persichetti medal for excellence in foreign language study, Loretta and Lorraine Kulaga credit their Marywood degrees in Spanish and French for securing them a rewarding lifetime full of opportunities to travel abroad for international companies. Loretta recently opted for a career change and is now teaching Spanish in Virginia.
A DEGREE IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE NOT ONLY AFFORDS YOU THE POSSIBILITY OF INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL, BUT ALSO THE VERSATILITY FOR CAREER CHANGE.
Your Future, Your Degree
Businesses, governments, social service agencies and schools seek employees who are fluent in a second language and reward them financially. Enjoy a competitive edge by majoring or minoring in a foreign language at Marywood University.
Ninety percent of graduates from Marywood University's Foreign Language Program are currently employed using their language skills.
Many foreign language graduates pursue teaching careers. Over the past five years, 100 percent of Marywood University's foreign language secondary education majors have secured teaching positions their first year after graduation.
Student Success Stories
ADDED SKILLS = ADDED DOLLARS, PESOS, EUROS, ETC.
Much more than the extra pay our students often receive for their extra talents is the satisfaction of being able to help others. Regardless of your major, a Foreign Language Minor makes sense (and cents!).
Congratulations to our Foreign Language graduates!
