Health & Physical Education: Teacher Education

Teacher Education Major

Our Teacher Education major will prepare you to teach in a variety of educational settings in elementary, middle, and high schools. Graduates are certified to teach grades Pre-K through 12 in Pennsylvania.

The program will help you:

• Explore the relationship of health to all experiences and activities.
• Understand the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of fitness.
• Learn to create experiences that promote health and physical development.
• Develop your ability to teach using a variety of instructional techniques

Our Health and Physical Education program, which includes teacher education and physical activity majors, are accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
