Welcome to Marywood!  We in Student Health Services are eagerly planning for your arrival on campus. Your WELLNESS is important to us.

The Student Health Services staff provides primary care, including assessment and treatment of illnesses and injuries, collaborates with area physicians and health-care facilities and utilizes community resources with the goal of promoting your health and wellness. To enable the staff to continue to provide quality care we ask you to partner with us by submitting your health information well before you arrive on campus.  All health information records remain confidential and will not be shared without your written permission.

The following information is required:

Resident Students

A completed Student Health History Form and verification of a physical examination within one year prior to the first day of class by your primary health care provider including a list of dates of immunizations that must include:

  • Two MMR(Measles, Mumps and Rubella) immunization dates; and
  • Meningitis Immunization or waiver as required by Pennsylvania Law

 Commuter Students

  • Documentation of two MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) immunization dates; and,
  • If you wish to utilize Student Health Services, a completed Health History Form and verification of a physical examination within one year prior to the first day of class by your primary health care provider.

This information must be submitted prior to your enrollment at Marywood.  Students who fail to provide this information may not utilize the Student Health Services and resident students will not be allowed to continue to live on campus.

Health Insurance

As of Fall 2010, all full-time students are required to have health insurance. If you have private insurance coverage you MUST fill out the insurance waiver and provide the name of your insurance carrier and the policy number in order to waive out of the pre-billed plan provided by Bollinger Insurance.

Students with a serious or chronic health condition are urged to visit Student Health Services to discuss any health concerns. Also, please ask you physician's office to forward information pertaining to your medical problems and treatment to the Student Health Services Center to enable us to maintain continuity of your care. The Center is located adjacent to the lobby of Loughran Hall. We look forward to meeting you.
