| Twenty-five GED students earn their high school diploma through the Marywood GED Program. The Pennsylvania Department of Education's Bureau of Adult Basic Literacy Education has awarded Marywood funding to deliver adult literary services and GED preparation courses. | |
| DR. Frances M. Zauhar becomes Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Before coming to Marywood, she was Humanities Division Chair at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and a tenured faculty member in the English Department. | |
