Study Abroad Experiences

What were the most challenging aspects of your abroad experience?

“Figuring out how to live in a foreign country. It took about a month to get used to the language, the city, and the people.”

Jessica Y. (ISI Florence, Italy Fall, 2014)

Health Insurance

Health insurance is required for all students attending Marywood University.  The University's Student Health Benefit Plan provides comprehensive health coverage to University undergraduate, graduate, and international students. The cost for a complete year’s coverage beginning on August, 2016 is $1,676 for all students. (For students beginning in January, 2017, the charge for coverage from January through August will be $1,148). This charge will be added to your tuition and fees invoice from Marywood. If you have other coverage, including coverage from your government sponsorship or choose to purchase other insurance, please refer to Marywood's Student Health Services website for directions on how to waive (opt) out of this insurance. REMEMBER to waive out within the allotted period of time, until September 15, 2016, or the charge for this insurance will remain on your bill for payment. If you have any questions regarding insurance, please contact the International Affairs Office or Marywood's Student Health Services department.
