Favorite Marywood Memory
My favorite Marywood memory was attending my first tree lighting ceremony as a freshman. I loved seeing my fellow students and alum, teachers, and staff participate in the event, helping to spread the Christmas spirit on our campus.
I am currently beginning the transition phase of the 5-year program for Speech Pathology.
Most important lesson
I would say that the most important thing I learned at Marywood is the importance of serving others. There is a great emphasis on community service, which has strengthened my relationships and made me a better person.
Where are you employed?
I received a graduate assistantship position in the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders that will provide me with extensive experience in my field while helping me pay for my undergraduate degree. What’s more, I was recently awarded a scholarship from the Northeastern Speech and Hearing Association of Pennsylvania.
I have been given so many wonderful opportunities at Marywood that has provided as well as a wonderful educational foundation. I know that I have the knowledge and qualifications necessary to succeed in my field, but Marywood has also provided me with the moral values that will allow me to truly serve and make an impact in the lives of my future clients.
