Ariel and Keira are currently completing their final semester of the Didactic Program in Dietetics: Spanish Emphasis Curriculum Option (DPD-Spanish).  Both students are immersed in the culture of Costa Rica while studying Spanish at CPI. Both students will be volunteering their time in nutrition-related activities while in Costa Rica.

Undergraduate Nutrition and Dietetic students Colleen Sideck, Heather Kees and Keandra Koons demonstrated a fruity green smoothie recipe and talked about the nutritional benefits that are provided from the smoothie to promote the local organization The Greenhouse Project in honor of Earth Day.

Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Bake Sale - 04/2014

Marywood Dietetic student, Elizabeth Furniss, organized a bake sale with the Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics club, to raise money for "No Kid Hungry." Share Our Strength’s “No Kid Hungry” campaign is ending childhood hunger in America by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need, every day. Each dollar raised can help a child access ten healthy meals. The bake sale, that took place on April 4th, raised over $100 for the cause, connecting over a thousand healthy meals to children in need.
