Next year represents a major turning point in your life-your first year of college. While you are busy preparing for the next chapter in your life story, the Marywood University Orientation Committee is eagerly awaiting your arrival and preparing a fantastic Orientation weekend.
Orientation is a vital part of your college experience. This July you will set foot on campus for the first time as a Marywood student. There will be opportunities to meet other classmates in small groups and with your academic advisor, as well as to learn about campus services and activities. Of course, there will also be a lot of time for FUN!
If you have any questions please call Center for Student Activities and Leadership Development by calling (570) 340-6016 or e-mail us at orientation@marywood.edu
As the chairs of the Orientation Committee, we are thrilled to welcome you to the Marywood University community.
We look forward to meeting you this summer!

Addie Long, Orientation Chair
Hey there! My name is Addie Long, and I am one of the Orientation Chairs for Orientation 2013! I’m a graduate student from Quakertown, PA, majoring in Speech Language Pathology. Here at Marywood University, I have been involved with Zeta Phi Delta, Student Government, and basketball. I also serve as a Resident Assistant. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, doing pottery, and going fishing. Orientation is an opportunity for incoming students to make new memories and have positive experiences with others. I chose to be an Orientation Chair because I wanted to have an active role in creating positive experiences for incoming students.

Hey, everyone! My name is Ashleigh Gillet, and I am one of this year’s three Orientation Chairs. I am a senior Psychology major, as well as an intern in the Student Activities and Leadership Development Office. A proud member of the Class of 2014, I serve as a Senator for the Student Government Association. I am a bookworm who loves music. I love being involved in a variety of Marywood activities, and I can’t wait to welcome all of you to our wonderful campus!

Hi, all! My name is Sarah Wheeler, and I am a student in Marywood’s Class of 2014. I am a Criminal Justice major with minors in Pre-Law and Sociology. I am also a member of Zeta Phi Delta, the only social service sorority on campus. In addition, I serve as the Student Government Association Secretary and as a Student Activities intern, which means I plan fun student activities on campus! As you can tell, I am a busy girl, but I always make time to work on Orientation. I love helping new students discover their love for Marywood, because it is such an amazing school! Whatever you do, always remember to branch out!
