New Student Orientation is held in the month of July every summer. Information is posted as it becomes available and can be found on the Marywood Orientation Website.
The New Student Matriculation Fee of $225.00 will be included on your Fall invoice, regardless of whether you attend Orientation. This non-refundable fee covers all Orientation activities and meals for students only. This fee also covers the Fall Orientation activities required for all new students. Meals for guests will be assessed separately.
Bring all pertinent University correspondence and an alarm clock. Sheets, pillows, and towels will be provided in the residence halls.
Dress casually and comfortably! Students will participate in a variety of activities throughout the weekend.
All new students, whether future residents or commuters, are strongly encouraged to stay in a residence hall during the weekend to participate fully in the Orientation program.
Your siblings and/or guests are invited to attend Orientation. They are welcome to attend any programs scheduled for family/guests and/or they may use any of the University recreation facilities throughout the weekend. However, there will be no age-specific activities for children or babysitting services.
In order to include roommate requests received during summer orientation, residence hall assignments and roommate information will be mailed in mid-August.
You may apply for a room change during the second week of the semester. The Housing and Residence Life Office will attempt to accommodate your request. Your meal plan may be changed at any time before the end of the second week of classes by calling the Housing and Residence Life Office, (570) 348-6236.
Student-athletes participating in a fall sport may move into the residence halls based on their team’s training schedule. Housing and meals for that week will be provided by the Athletic Department. Information will be sent in July regarding the Pre-Season Training Week schedule for each sport.
