Renae Courtney

Dr. Renae Courtney received her B.A. in Psychology from Salisbury University and a M.A. in Human Sciences with an emphasis in Thanatology from Hood College Graduate School.  She received her Psy.D. and Post-Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute, Springfield, MO.  Renae joins us after serving as a Program Director of the Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at the School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute.  Concurrently, she owned a private practice where she provided assessment, individual, couple, and family therapy.

Renae is a licensed psychologist in the State of Missouri and temporarily licensed in Pennsylvania.  Her research interest pertains to participant engagement in therapeutic environments.  Renae joins us as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and Counseling and also as the Director of the Psychological Services Center.

Kara Bergstresser

Doctoral Graduate Assistant

Kara is a third year Psy.D. student currently working as a doctoral graduate assistant in the Psychological Services Center. Kara received her undergraduate degree in psychology with two minors in the adult and child/adolescent clinical/counseling tracks from Canisus College in Buffalo, NY. Her clinical interests are broad and she hopes to either haver her own practice or work with a coordinated team, possibly in primary care psychology. Currently her research interests surround the topic of empathy and how it changes in the medical settings. 

Kimberly Hardiman

Doctoral Graduate Assistant

Kimberly Hardiman is a third year Psy.D. student currently working as a doctoral graduate assistant in the Psychological Services Center. Kimberly received her undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in anthropology from Cedar Crest College. Kimberly's clinical interests include working with both the geriatric and intellectual disability populations. Her research interests include concussion knowledge and management. 

Karen Osborne

Ms. Karen Osborne is the PSC's Secretary. She is a graduate of Lackawanna Jr. College holding an Associates Degree in Secretarial Science. She has previously worked in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department and Graduate Admissions.
