About Me

As a graduate of Kings College, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications & Media Technologies, with a Graphic Design emphasis. I joined the Web Team at Marywood in March of 2010.

Working at Marywood has been a great experience. I really enjoy the group office setting we have, as well as helping all of our hard working content editors. What I do...

I am a graphic designer, and help web content editors at Marywood with the visual aspects of their department web pages. In Mark's words, I make things "look pretty."

My Experience...

For the past 10+ years, I’ve worked hands-on in the design industry: within educational and agency environments and as a small business owner. Whew, that's a mouthful.

About Me...

All my kids have [big, white] paws. Roxy Ann is my rescued puppy/mutt, and Quincy is my tabby cat. I just bought a house and enjoy DIY projects.

• iPiccy. iPiccy is free, and makes your photos look great with many easy to use editing tools.

• Pattern4U. Stylish repeating background patterns.

• Pixlr. Edit your photos online, no download necessary.

• Wikimedia Commons. Freely usable media files (images, audio, video, etc.) to which anyone can contribute.

• Wordle. Make your own word cloud and customize the design and colors!

• Web Design is 95% Typography. Optimizing typography is optimizing readability, accessibility, usability(!), overall graphic balance.

• AVS4YOU. Software for video, audio, image editing and more.

• JR Screen Ruler. This screen ruler allows you to accurately measure anything on your screen in pixels, inches, picas or centimeters.

• Pixie. Allows you to find the color code of anything you highlight on your computer screen.

• SnackTools. Free apps, slideshows, podcasts, video players, polls, flip books, online presentation sharing, & notifications for your website.
