Summary of Duties
The Marywood University Department of Education seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Higher Education Administration to commence August, 2017.
Specific responsibilities include teaching graduate courses and coordinating the higher education administration master’s program. Additional responsibilities include teaching and advising at the graduate and doctoral levels; mentoring research; serving on dissertation committees; and participating in service to the university, the discipline and local educational community.
The Department of Education is in the Reap College of Education and Human Development. The department is accredited by Pennsylvania Department of Education and NCATE. Marywood University is a comprehensive Catholic university sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and is located in Scranton, PA. Qualified candidates will possess a Ph.D. or Ed.D.
Work Experience Requirements:
A record of teaching in multiple formats at the higher education level; a background as a higher education administrator; experience in instructional design methods and practice; and a promising or established research record is preferred.
