School of Business & Global Innovation - Assistant Professor - Tenure Track
Summary of Duties
The Marywood University School of Business & Global Innovation seeks an Assistant Professor for a full-time, tenure-track appointment starting in the Fall 2017 semester.
Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, including online/hybrid courses, to majors and minors. Student advisement, commitment to scholarly activities, and participation in university, professional, and community service are expected. A full-time teaching load is 21 credits per academic year.
The School of Business & Global Innovation offers undergraduate degrees in multiple Business areas, including Management (with tracks in Entrepreneurship, Hospitality Management, and Health Services Administration), and graduate degrees in Business Administration, Management and Financial Information Systems, and Health Services Administration. The School of Business & Global Innovation is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
Marywood University is a comprehensive Catholic university sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and located in northeastern Pennsylvania. Additional information about the University is available at www.marywood.edu.
A Ph.D. or related terminal degree (ABD considered) in the Management or Business Administration area, with specializations in Operations Management and Research Methodologies. Per accreditation requirements, candidates must have a minimum of 15 graduate credits in a particular specialized field.
A second specialized experience in an area such as Hospitality Management or Marketing, with a minimum of 15 graduate credits in a particular specialized field.
Work Experience Requirements:
Prior college teaching experience and the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate classes in both traditional and online modalities are also required.
