About me: I joined the Marywood Admissions Staff in 2014. I graduated from Marywood in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, a secondary major in Religious Studies and a Justice and Peace Studies minor. I grew up and currently live in Tunkhannock, PA.
My interests: I love spending time outside. I enjoy running, hiking, swimming, kayaking, boating, skiing, pretty much anything! I also love travelling, especially to Guatemala (I have been there twice so far). It is definitely my favorite place, but I would go anywhere! If I do have to be stuck inside, I enjoy a good scary movie or anything to do with Harry Potter.
My favorite thing about Marywood: The community and welcoming atmosphere on campus. In my experience, the people at Marywood genuinely care about one another and the community as a whole. It really makes you feel like you belong.
My favorite place on campus: The chapel, and all of campus ministry! The chapel itself is definitely one of the most beautiful places with its stained glass windows, and I find it to be a very calming place to just relax. There is always someone around to chat with in campus ministry as well, and it feels like there is always something going on!
You’d never guess: I love animals, especially cats. I enjoy spending some of my free time visiting the animal shelter to walk the dogs and spend time playing with and cuddling the cats.
My best advice: Don’t judge a book (or University) by its cover. Come for a visit! You will never know what you could be missing out on unless you come and see for yourself.
