The essential support for the Arboretum at Marywood University is provided through the generosity of foundations, corporations and individuals that believe in the Arboretum's mission to conserve, to enjoy and to learn.
With your help, we can further our efforts to enhance the Arboretum, to develop exciting exhibits and programs that connect people and nature, and to advance Marywood University's ability to be a center of learning for both students and the general public.
There are many ways to show your support. Donating a tree in honor or memory of a loved one is a lasting gift that will further enhance the existing Arboretum. Through the Tribute Fund, your gift of $300 for a flowering tree or shrub, or $500 for a shade or an evergreen tree includes a tree of the type chosen, mulch and a black anodized aluminum plaque etched in silver to reflect your personal sentiments, as well as the perpetual care of the tree.
You can also help the Arboretum improve our large, mature trees by adopting a tree. Through the Adopt a Tree program, your contribution of $500 enables us to secure the services of a certified professional arbortist who will make the necessary improvements to the tree such as removing any dead wood and structural defects, thinning of the tree's canopy as needed, and providing other special care to ensure its continued growth. This type of professional care greatly adds to the aesthetic value of the tree, as well as to its overall health and longevity. A plaque acknowledging your kindness will be attached to the tree. Care will be taken to ensure the plaque does not harm the tree.
Your financial contributions are most welcome and are critical to the upkeep of the Marywood Arboretum. Your contributions can include outright gifts, pledges and deferred gifts, and gifts of assets such as securities and gifts-in-kind.
In addition to helping the Arboretum at Marywood University, such gifts can often be structured to provide attractive tax advantages for you.
However you choose to support us, your donations are deeply appreciated. You can learn more about these opportunities to help the Arboretum at Marywood University by contacting
