Design Your Future

Design your Future is a two-week immersion program for students who are looking to expand their knowledge about Interior Architecture and Architecture through design. Marywood University offers the program every week day from 10am-4pm, including lectures, reviews, workshops, field trips, and studio projects. On the weekend, a computer workshop covers Photoshop and other Adobe Suites programs used in design. All of the classes are taught in the award-winning LEED Certified Center for Architectural Studies, where each student has their own studio work-space. Students have the opportunity to earn three college credits through the Momentum Program. (Students must be entering their Junior or Senior year in high school and have a minimum GPA of 3.00 to qualify for this program.) ***Please note that the only way to receive these credits is to apply to the Momentum portion of the PRIOR to the start of the Program.***

The course is taught by Professor Kate O'Connor and Professor Stephen Garrison, both Full-time faculty from the Marywood School of Architecture. There are also 2 Teaching Assistants who serve as Resident Assistants in the dormitories. This creates an intimate student-to-teacher ratio, a quality that Marywood prides itself on. Furthermore, there is a very social component to the program that includes games, scavenger hunts, a RailRiders baseball game and even a day trip to Camelbeach Waterpark! All students will live on-campus to enjoy a total university experience.

The structure of the Tuition Fee includes (but is not limited to) an architectural kit for drawing, drafting and model making materials to complete projects, Instructor’s teaching compensation, field trips, and travel to sites expenses. The total tuition for the Design Your Future program is $2100. If you decide to combine the program with the Momentum program, the tuition is $2700.Please include a deposit check with your application. The remaining tuition is due on Friday, June 24.
