University architecture students, Caleb Freeze, senior architecture student, Allenwood, Pa.; and Michelle Kleva, senior architecture student, Sussex, N.J., have recently been selected to the 2018 Committee on the Environment (COTE) Top Ten for Students Design Competition. This international competition is sponsored by the American Institute of Architects Committee on the Environment (AIA COTE), in partnership with the Association of Collegiate School of Architecture (ACSA).

This year, the competition had more than 1,000 participants from more than 60 schools of architecture in the United States and Canada. Mr. Freeze and Ms. Kleva’s project, PIER 55: South Philadelphia Community Center, will be exhibited at the 107th ACSA annual meeting in Pittsburgh, Pa. The two-student architecture team will also participate in a winner’s reception at the 2018 AIA National Convention in New York City, N.Y., in June.
