A major in Business Information Technology (BIT) prepares students for the evaluation, programming, design, and development of information systems within the context of a business organization. Along with a rigorous business curriculum, the BIT degree offers a technical foundation in voice and data communication systems that prepare students to effectively leverage information technology to create tangible improvements in business.

Marywood offers strong liberal arts and business core and a comprehensive set of required Business Information Technology courses. The program offers the student the flexibility to choose subject matter courses in programing or business application and system development.

Teams will work with local companies and organizations to create solutions for software and data management problems. Developing applications in the classroom prepares students for positions as Information Technology professionals in an increasingly challenging global business and information environment.
