Marywood University extends its commitment to community involvement through its Maxis-Gillet Service Award, named in honor of the founders of the IHM Sisters, Mother Theresa Maxis, IHM and Father Louis Gillet, CSsR.
These $2,500.00 Service Awards are offered annually to up to 20 full-time undergraduate students, including five first year, full-time undergraduate students who have already demonstrated outstanding service to the community and who plan to continue their commitment to service while enrolled at Marywood.
Maxis-Gillet Service Scholars are expected to participate in a minimum number of weekly community service hours and to assume a leadership role in community service activities coordinated through the Campus Ministry/Community Service Office.
The Maxis-Gillet Service Award is offered on a yearly basis through a re-application process for up to four years.
