Sunday Mass Schedule

On Sunday, September 6 the regular Sunday Mass schedule will be in effect:  10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Marian Chapel, Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.  All are welcome!


100 Marywood Centennial Week - Make A Difference Day of Service

Thursday, September 10, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

  • On-Campus activities - Throughout the day, FPL will be the "Central Hub for Service" for all employees and students.  Stop by and visit 10 "stations" where you can do a quick act of service in between classes, on your lunch break or just passing through.
  • Off-Campus activities - Transportation will be provided if you want to donate an hour or so of your time to locations in need of volunteers around the community.
  • Donation Drop-Off - Bring an item to donate to a local organization!  We are accepting:
    - Food:  canned vegetables, canned meats (tuna, chicken), beans (dried or canned), peanut butter, whole grain foods
    - Toiletries:  razors, deoderant, bar soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste
    - Baby items:  diapers, wipes, bibs, infant socks, blankets, baby food bottles, pacifiers

Fall Break Service Trip! 10/10-10/13

Interested in serving the local community? Sign up for the Fall Break Service Trip!  Each day we will serve various the needs within the Scranton community at organizations such as the Weinburg Food Bank, Neighborworks NEPA, and the Church of the Good Shepherd. $30 fee.

Big Friends/Little Friends

Do you enjoy working with children?  Need service learning hours?  Join us at Big Friends/Little Friends which is a mentorship program for children - homework help, a hot meal, crafts & games!  Volunteer Mondays and/or Thursdays from 2:30 - 4:50 p.m.  Transportation is provided!  Contact us at BFLF@m.marywood.edu if interested or with any questions!

Catholic Relief Services Ambassador Program

Are you interested in working to build a constituency for the global poor through Fair Trade, Food Security, Global Health and Emergency Aid?  If you are, consider becoming a CRS Ambassador for next year.  Fill out the CRS Ambassador Application and return it to Sr. John Michele Southwick at  Campus Ministry.  Email Sister John Michele, southwick@marywood.edu with any questions. Help feed the hungry, help those in crisis and help with developmental aid around the world.
