Change in Mass Schedule for Summer Months

There will be no regular Sunday Masses during the summer months. Sunday Masses are available at local churches:


St. Paul's Parish, Corner of Penn Avenue & Marion St., Scranton - Saturday Vigil: 5 p.m., Sunday: 8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon
                 
St. Clare Church, Corner of North Washington Ave and Park St, Scranton - Saturday Vigil 4 p.m.

The Nuns Are Coming

The bus is passing through Scranton...Network, A national Catholic Social Justice Lobby. The Nuns on the Bus for Comprehensive Immigration Reform. Welcoming our neighbor and celebrating our diversity!

When:  Wednesday, May 29, 2013, 2 - 3:30 p.m. 

Where:  The Gym/Auditorium at St. John Neumann Parish (the former Marian School Gym) 628 Hemlock St in South Scranton

Why:  The time is now for immigration reform; Immigrant families need it, businesses need it, we all need it!  (the 100%) 

Please come and join us for information from local organizations who accompany our immigrant sisters and brothers, brief talks from our local residents, food and fellowship and a special presentation on Comprehensive Immigration Reform by Sister Simone Campbell and friends from NETWORK!  Your presence is important and all are welcome!  Contact:  korbad@sistersofihm.org  Sister Donna Korba, IHM Director of Justice and Peace, IHM Sisters.

Blood Drive & Open House - Life Geisinger - Wed., May 22

 

Save 3 lives and see what LIFE Geisinger has to offer.

LIFE Geisinger Scranton is teaming up with the Geisinger Blood Center to host a blood drive. Make an appointment to stop by the LIFE Geisinger facility in Scranton and donate blood to the Geisinger Blood Center. Your donation of one pint can save up to three lives.

While you’re there, LIFE Geisinger Scranton staff will be available to talk to you about the medical, social and behavioral services they provide for the frail elderly. You’ll also have the opportunity to tour the day health center and enjoy light refreshments.

 

To make your blood donation appointment, please call Maria Hastie at 1.800.395.8759  . You do not need an appointment to attend only the open house.
