Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

We are in need of additional Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion for our Sunday liturgies.  If you currently serve as an EM, have served as one in the past, or would like to receive training, please e-mail Mike Sowa at sowa@marywood.edu or call 570-340-6024 and leave a message.  Please indicate whether you would be able to serve at the 10:30 a.m. or 7:30 p.m. liturgy.

Also, we are looking for undergraduate and graduate students who would be willing to serve as Ministers of Hospitality at our Sunday liturgies.  The purpose of this ministry is to greet those who come to our liturgies and to distribute worship participation aids as needed.  Please let Mike know if you would be interested in serving as a minister of hospitality.

Month of the Rosary

Catholic tradition has long held October as the month of the rosary, mainly because the liturgy for October 7 is the Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary.  Since the Middle Ages, the rosary has been a much loved devotion among Catholics.  Because it includes meditation on the important moments (mysteries) in the life and ministry of Jesus, it is a prayer that is both scriptural and contemplative.  Go to http://campus.udayton.edu/mary/questions/faq/faq07.html  to learn how to say the rosary.

Flea Market

Friday, October 24, 2014, Latour Room, Nazareth Hall, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.  All proceeds benefit Marywood University Service Trips.
