At the center of our main production facility is a TriCaster8000 Switcher. It is supported by High Definition studio and field cameras and digital audio software.
As film, video and digital technologies continue to merge, and interactive media and other new communication technologies are increasingly incorporated in business, educational and healthcare environments, students with a Comm Arts degree are highly qualified to assume leadership positions.
The TV studio and in-field equipment, also support TVM, Marywood's television outlet. Distributed by Comcast, department programming reaches 100,000+ households.
TVM is also a student managed facility. Students work as on-air talent, reporters and assume other management and production positions. New students will also be able to start working at TVM during their freshman year.
