The Green Dot infection is about to invade Marywood! The program will provide information on bystander intervention, prevention of all levels of violence, and fostering healthy relationships. Marywood Players will be there with improv, and a local martial arts studio will offer a self defense demonstration. In addition, a short skit titled "The Rape of Mr. Jones" will be performed in which sparks fly and morals erode when a man attempts to report a robbery. In this perverse encounter, who is the criminal? You will be able to decide. The skit was drafted by Dr. Karen Rich and adapted from a short play by Art Spikol.
At the tables from Marywood will be: RAE, C/SDC, Campus Ministry, POW!, Graduate Student Council, Psychological Services, Art Therapy, Psychology Club, Music Therapy, Caritas, Chartwells, Human Trafficking Task Force, Chi Sigma, School Psychology, the Dean's Office on Cyber Bullying, Zeta Phi Delta, Psychology Graduate on Bystander Phenomenon and Sexist Humor, the Marywood Veterans Club, and Campus Security. From the community at large will be Women's Resource Center and the 570 Dojo Tsunami Self Defense.
And yes there will be free food, music, raffles ($25 Gift Cards and gift certificates from Calbrias Pizza, Andy Gavins, Mission Yoga, and Zummos) and cool Green Dot t-shirts. Look forward to seeing you there!
