Director of Athletics and Recreation (#352)

from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M
Summary of Duties
Applications are invited for the full-time Director of Athletics and Recreation position at Marywood University. The primary responsibilities include supervision of 22 sports, chief compliance officer, recreation program oversight, booster club/fundraising oversight, facilities management, recruitment coordinator, fiscal management and related duties involved with directing a NCAA Division III sports program and full recreation fitness venues. Additional responsibilities include administrative duties inclusive of University committees, athletic conference leadership and club sport advisement.
The successful applicant is required to have a minimum of a master’s degree and five years athletic and recreation leadership experience preferably at the Division III college/university level as well as a general knowledge of intercollegiate athletics and NCAA policies including compliance; strong interpersonal, planning and organizational abilities, budget management experience; and, excellent oral and written communication skills. Competence with technology resources and motivational skills are vital to fulfilling the responsibilities of this position. Understanding the critical role of athletics in the recruitment and retention of students is paramount.
