Summary of Duties
The Marywood University Department of Science, Mathematics, and Computer Science seeks an Assistant Professor (Biochemistry) for a tenure-track position beginning August 2021.
Marywood University is an independent, comprehensive, Catholic University. The campus is located in a residential area of Scranton, PA with easy access to the Pocono Mountains, about a two-hour drive from New York City and Philadelphia. Affordable housing in attractive communities with good schools is readily available. The University enrolls approximately 2000 students in more than fifty-five undergraduate programs and approximately 500 graduate students in 33 Master’s and Doctoral programs.
A Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry or related field, evidence of relevant research, scholarship, and teaching experience are required. Applicants with background and interest in Organic Chemistry are also strongly encouraged to apply.
This faculty member will teach Biochemistry for Science majors as well as chemistry courses for Nutrition and Dietetics students and develop upper-level elective courses for Science majors.
