Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) (#37)

Summary of Duties

The Department of Science, Mathematics, and Computer Science at Marywood University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Computer Science for a tenure-track appointment beginning August 2020.   


  • Educational:

    Qualified candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science by the date of appointment.

  • Special Qualifications:

    The Computer Science and Information Security programs serve the needs of this growing and important field of study and career opportunity.  The successful candidate will play a significant role in the further development of these undergraduate programs and in the process of seeking ABET accreditation. Prior experience with curriculum development and/or with accreditation is preferred.

  • Essential Elements:

    Responsibilities include: Teaching a broad range of undergraduate courses in Computer Science as well as teaching some lower-level undergraduate mathematics courses when needed. Student advisement, commitment to scholarly activities, and participation in university, professional, and community service are expected.  Prior experience in any of these areas is preferred.  College teaching experience as the primary instructor is preferred.
