Cashier's Office

Manager (#460)


Full-time (40 hours per week) between 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. with a 1/2 hour lunch period. 52 weeks per year.

Summary of Duties

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the billing and collections of all receivables
  • Review and analyze student accounts
  • Oversee the duties of the office staff
  • Ensure bank deposits are accurate and on time
  • Review daily account activity
  • Review payments for correct posting and Financial Aid postings of all loans, scholarships, and grants
  • Oversee refund processing
  • Prepare the 1098T processing
  • Update TouchNet for students to make payments and set up payment plans
  • Update and maintain Colleague forms and rate tables for student billing
  • Generate bills and check for accuracy
  • Update tuition and fees rates on the website
  • Collection agency reporting
  • Prepare special invoices
  • Make sure the office is staffed for open registration periods, transfer nights, Grad Finale, and other functions, when necessary


  • Educational:

    Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent or related work experience

  • Work Experience Requirements:

    Experience with Ellucian's Colleague student systems and prior software implementation is preferred. At least three years of related experience, preferably in higher education. Experience in collections is helpful

  • Special Qualifications:

    Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PC, and other business software. Excellent written and communication skills 

  • Essential Elements:

    Familiar with generally accepted accounting principles, collection practices, and the routine of a business office. Ability to analyze and record complex, non-routine transactions. Able to analyze and interpret various federal and state regulations as required for handling Title IV aid/loans 

  • Other Elements:

    Assist other office staff as needed. Respond to requests for information from students, parents, or other Marywood departments 

  • Physical Demands:

    Sitting, 85%. filing and retrieving files, 10%, walking between offices and buildings for meetings, etc., 5%. Some occasional travel may be required. Ability to lift binders or stacks of paper reports as well as small office equipment, generally not more than 25 pounds. Stooping, bending or climbing a stepladder to retrieve files, etc.
