The Marywood University Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies invites applications for a one-year position at the rank of Instructor in Religious Studies to begin August 2018.
Summary of Duties:
Responsibilities include teaching Introduction to Religion and Christian Theology. Participation in university service is expected. A full-time teaching load is 24 credits per academic year.
Marywood University is a comprehensive Catholic institution sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary located in northeastern Pennsylvania. Additional information about the University is available at www.marywood.edu.
A Ph.D. in Religious Studies or Theology with a specialization in Catholic Social Ethics is preferred. However, candidates who are ABD will be considered.
Preference given to applicants possessing a secondary area of specialization in non-Christian traditions. Prior college teaching experience a plus.
