Summary of Duties
Summary of Duties: The Department of Science, Mathematics & Computer Science seeks candidates for a one-year Instructor position to begin August 22, 2019.
Responsibilities: Duties include teaching a variety of undergraduate courses in computer science and information security and service to the department, including the development of an M.S. degree in Information Security. It is possible that this will become a full-time tenure-track position for the year 2020-21. The teaching load is 21 credits and development of the graduate program. The department offers B.S. degrees in Computer Science, Information Security, Mathematics, and Math/Secondary Education. Our highest priority is a demonstrated commitment to excellent teaching in a private school, liberal arts environment.
Requirements: A master’s degree in Computer Science is required, as is experience teaching Computer Science.
Preferred: Candidates holding the Ph.D. or ABD in Computer Science or a closely related field are preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates with college level teaching experience and teaching and/or background in Information Security (Cyber Security).
