Undergraduate Admissions

Coordinator of Transfer Enrollment (#339)


35 hrs. per week., 52 weeks. per year
Monday - Friday
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Summary of Duties

Responsible for (1) Speaking to prospective transfer students and their families during campus visits, as well as arranging and overseeing visits of students on campus; (2) Processing data and reviewing applications for admission; maintaining detailed records of work activity; (3) Develop and maintain a relationship with prospective transfer students through phone/e-mail/text correspondence; (4) Communicate with transfer coordinators at community colleges and students at on and off-campus events; (5) Works closely with University constituents, particularly the Coordinator of Prior Learning Assessment to ensure proper advisement and credit evaluation. (6) Implement and enhance transfer student enrollment initiatives that result in an increase in transfer enrollment, (7) Other duties as assigned.


  • Educational:

    Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.


  • Work Experience Requirements:

    Experience in counseling, academic advisement and/or public relations helpful, previous experience in College Admissions especially with the transfer student population preferred.

  • Special Qualifications:

    High level of intelligence, honesty, excellent writing and public speaking skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial attitude, dedication to liberal arts and higher education, valid driver's license, availability and use of a dependable automobile, ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.  An ability to work well as a member of a team, knowledge of Microsoft Offices is necessary, knowledge of Ellucian software products is helpful. 

  • Essential Elements:

    A fundamental concern for individuals and their families as they pertain to and fit into various educational programs.  Since this individual is one of the principal persons responsible for the projection of the public image of Marywood, the Coordinator of Transfer Enrollment plays an important role with the institution.  In addition to these elements, the coordinator is expected to adhere to the Statement of Principles and Good Practice of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling. 

  • Physical Demands:

    This individual must be able and willing to invest extended periods of time reading, writing, speaking, driving and making presentations at college recruitment events.  Travel can be extensive and sometimes requires working into the evening as well as overnight stays for a number of days at a time. The ability to stand for extended periods and lift 35 to 50 lbs. is essential.
