Ahdab Bazerbay (Saudi Arabia) received her undergraduate degree at the College of Home Economics and Art Education at Taibah University. After graduating she was encouraged to continue to grow as an artist and to focus on her drawing and painting skills, particularly landscape painting. She began her education overseas studying English as a second language in Denver, CO. Her travels took her to San Francisco, CA where she studied painting at the Academy of Art University. At Marywood, she has studied painting, drawing, and ceramics. Her oil paintings incorporate natural views of ocean waves and clouds in the sky, still lifes, as well as references embedded in her culture.
Justin T. Hayden (Lake Ariel, PA) received his undergraduate degree in art education, with a minor in photography, from Marywood University. He is an art educator at Western Wayne High School where he has been teaching grades 9 through 12 for five years. The majority of his artwork is in photography and consists of abstract forms found in nature. His series, Performance Pieces in Ice and Performance Pieces in Wood, have been photographed over the past four years; these black and white prints focus on line, shape and patterns that typically go unnoticed. Performance Pieces in Ice has been published in the photography magazine, LensWork. His current Threshold Series combines screen-printed imagery on painted Masonite, allowing him to work with value and color to create space within two-dimensional shapes.
Danielle M. Zito (Newton, NJ) graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marywood University receiving a Bachelors of Arts in art education and minor in art history in 2007. She has been teaching in the Delaware Valley School District since graduation. Her career as an art educator has included teaching ceramics, painting, and drawing at the secondary level and a full variety of mediums in elementary art, which she currently teaches. She continues to grow within her own artwork in while teaching in the classroom, and is influenced by a variety of diverse interests. The inspiration of storytelling and historical references are heavily integrated into her work. She uses the element of texture, implied or actual, as a key component in each of her woodcut prints, paintings and clay pieces.
