Marywood University’s Suraci Collection of fine and decorative arts provides a varied and rich resource for student research and study, as well as enriching and expanding upon the general public’s experience and appreciation of the arts within our region. The exhibition features recent gifts to the permanent collection that include paintings and works on paper.
Current emphasis in the Suraci Collection has been on developing the collection of 20th century works on paper and sculpture with the addition of high quality contemporary works. Local collectors, Elizabeth and Jeff Russell of Tunkhannock, PA and New York, NY have been gifting works to the Suraci Collection since 2009.
The works in Recent Acquistions are all gifts from Elizabeth and Jeff Russell.
