Feb 01, 2014 - Feb 23, 2014
Popular exhibition features the Gold and Silver Key award–winning work by junior high and high school students from the Northeastern Pennsylvania art region. The Alliance for Young Artists and Writers, founded in 1923, identifies teenagers with exceptional artistic and literary talent and brings their remarkable work to a national audience through The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition for Northeast Pennsylvania is sponsored by Times–Shamrock Communications, hosted and presented by Marywood University Art Galleries, and made possible by the art educators in Northeast Pennsylvania. Gold Key award–winning artwork continues on to the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition in New York, where they are considered for further awards, exhibition, and scholarships.
