The Human Physiology Lab is equipped to provide testing for those who wish to improve athletic performance or monitor their progress toward their fitness and/or weight loss goals. It is not a fitness facility. We offer testing for anyone concerned about his or her health and fitness. For recreational and competitive athletes, we offer body composition analysis, VO2max (aerobic) testing, lactate profiling, and Wingate anaerobic power testing.
The purpose of fitness testing includes education of participants about their present fitness status relative to healthy standards and age/gender-matched norms, as well as collection of data that is not only helpful in development of exercise programs, but also provides baseline data that allow evaluation of progress toward goals.

This package is an assessment of cardiovascular health for low risk populations. A treadmill walk test with EKG will test your physical fitness. Blood pressure is assessed pre and post exercise. Body fat percentage and blood cholesterol are measured. Risk for diabetes is assessed using HgbA1C.
Provides total and HDL cholesterol values. Fasting preferred. Interpretation of results is provided.
DEXA is one of the most accurate methods to assess body composition. It is a full body scan measuring body fat percentage, fat free mass, and bone density.

This package is a thorough and full assessment of your physical fitness. A treadmill run test, sophisticated body composition measurement (including bone density), with muscular strenth, endurance, and flexibility to let you know how physically fit you are overall and where you could improve.

This package is a shortened version of the full assessment. A treadmill test estimates your fitness, while BIA measures body fat. Muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility are assessed giving you estimates of your fitness and where you could improve.
