Marywood University's Human Research Protection Program safeguards the rights and welfare of all individuals participating in research performed at Marywood or sponsored by the University.
Two boards review research involving human participants:
The IRB reviews, approves, and monitors all research involving human participants that qualifies for full or expedited review.
The ERC, which now includes Departmental Exempt Review Committees (formerly Departmental Review Boards), reviews, approves, and monitors all research that qualifies for exemption.
All applications to the IRB or ERC must be submitted electronically at www.irbnet.org.
