New Director of Alumni Engagement
Ann Montoro Williams, '84 (M.A. '07) has been named Director of Alumni Engagement at Marywood University. In her new position, Mrs. Montoro Williams works closely with alumni and leads all alumni-related engagement activities of the University.
Prior to her new position, she served as Graduate Admissions Counselor at Marywood University. She holds two Marywood degrees, having earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts, Radio, TV, and Public Relations in 1984 and her Master of Arts in Communication Arts (Media Management) in 2007. Additionally, Mrs. Montoro Williams has served as co-faculty advisor for the Marywood student newspaper, The Wood Word, since 2005. She is also a news announcer and board operator for Bold Gold Media Group.
Mrs. Montoro Williams serves on numerous committees and boards, including: the Marywood Alumni Association Board; College Media Association, National Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals (NAGAP); Marywood Alumni Club of NEPA (MAC); IHM Associate; and the Marywood University Arboretum Committee. Mrs. Montoro Williams was previously involved with the Mary, Mother of God Parish-Holy Rosary Church, Parish Council; Saint Anthony of Padua Church, Parish Core Council-Implementation Team; Meals on Wheels of NEPA; Marywood University PLCB-Campus Coalition Committee, and the Marywood University Commencement-Convocation Committee.
Mrs. Montoro Williams said that her main goal "is to serve as a voice for alumni." She is excited about reconnecting with alumni and about the opportunities that are available to alumni with the University's Centennial Campaign.
"The Centennial Celebration in 2015 is a great opportunity to build on the future and milestone reminder of the blessing that Marywood is," said Mrs. Montoro Williams. "This celebration is a testament to the hard work that administrators, faculty, staff, students, and alumni have put in over the years at Marywood University."
