Marywood Players Showcase

Marywood University Music, Theatre, and Dance Department will present a student-produced theatre program showcase at 7 PM Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21 and at 1 PM Sunday, March 22 in the Black Box Theatre of the Sette La Verghetta Center for the Performing Arts. Admission is free and open to the public.

Taipei Folk Dance Theatre

Marywood University and the University of Scranton, with grant support from the Marywood / University of Scranton Cooperative Grant Program, the Taiwan Ministry of Culture Spotlight Taiwan Grant, and Special Patron Dr. Samuel Yin, will present Taipei Folk Dance Theatre, from 7:30pm – 9:00pm on Saturday, March 28, on the Main Stage of the Sette-LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts. Marywood Children's Theatre - The Invisible Dragon

Marywood University Music, Theatre, and Dance Department will present Patricia Clapp’s The Invisible Dragon, an interactive children’s theatre public performance at 11:00 AM, Saturday April 18 on the Main Stage of the Sette La Verghetta Center for Performing Arts. MTD Wind Ensemble Spring Concert

The Marywood University Wind Ensemble under the artistic guidance of Dr. F. David Romines will perform music of varied styles that have helped define the wind band idiom over the last century. This concert will feature a pre-concert lecture by Andrew Kolojejchick in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Masters Degree in Music Education. Mr. Kolojejchick has selected repertoire that will trace the emergence of compositional techniques used to develop the modern wind ensemble's aesthetic palette. The concert will be held on Sunday, April 19 at 4:00pm in the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts and there is no charge for admission.

The Marywood University Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Nathaniel F. Parker, presents a concert featuring collaborations with the Opera Scenes Workshop and DANCE ÉLAN – Marywood’s pre-professional dance company. Also, the winner of the 2014 Concerto Competition will also perform with the orchestra.
