Marywood University's Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance will present an Orchestra concert, on Sunday, October 25 at 3p.m. in the Sette LaVerghetta Performing Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public. The Orchestra will be directed and conducted by Nathaniel F. Parker, Director of Orchestral Activities at Marywood University. Dr. Phyllis Black, Director of the Marywood University-Lehigh Valley MSW Program, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Social Workers Pennsylvania Chapter, for her distinguished service to the profession at the Multicultural Social Work with a Global Context Conference in Pittsburgh, October 18 and 19.
Marywood University students, Hannah Botsford and Becky Lighthizer will perform Changes, a collection of songs, dances, and monologues. The event will take place on October 9 and 10 in the Black Box Theatre, Sette LaVerghetta Center at 8p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Marywood University will be hosting the second annual Wheelchair Basketball event on Saturday, October 24, in the Robert J. Mellow Center for Athletics and Wellness. Marywood University's Men's and Women's Pacer basketball teams will play against the Allied Forces wheelchair basketball team from Allied Rehabilitation Services.
